“I have been going to town center dental since moving to Austin in early 2024. I generally have anxiety about dental visits, but the care here is excellent. Very gentle and they seem to know what they are doing. Everyone in the office is always in good spirit as well. As far as it can be pleasant going to the dentist, it is here. The only reason I am giving a 4 star is I think they could communicate slightly better. And to be fair, I could do better at asking questions, but I don’t always know what to ask. So as an example, I got a deep cleaning done, and while it would not have affected my decision to receive it, I was extremely confused for a while for being charged for cleanings. After researching myself, a deep cleaning causes a patient to necessarily switch from regular cleanings to periodontal maintenance cleanings. This makes sense, but it would have been nice to know.”

Town Center Dental is great about answering the phone, sending reminders, effectively walking you through the process (if doing something more than a cleaning), and the staff is friendly. I have fairly high standards for dentistry, which is why I gave 4 and not 5 stars… but for a small location — highly recommend. To be honest, I feel like this dentist doesn’t bullshit you. “The ultimate price gouging dentist. Nearly $400 for X-rays & a cleaning. Also wanted a quote on a partial. I've had one in the past that I misplaced, which I paid $3,000 for. So I was expecting something in that general ballpark. Town center dental quoted me at $14,000. I was told I needed a variety of things that were completely unnecessary. On top of all that, I was told that I had a cavity & would need a filling for an outrageous price. I'm writing this review from the chair of another dentist. When I told them about the $14,000 quote for a partial - their jaw nearly hit the floor. And, guess what? I have no cavities, and therefore do not need any fillings. They overcharged me, over diagnosed me, and did it all with a smile on their face. Beware, sometimes nice people are only being that way to take advantage of you!”

“Not going to use Town Center Dental in the future. Their staff are very impatient. I felt their impatience from previous phone calls but did not have a solid case. Now I got solid evidence. I called to cancel an appointment due to travel and the staff said they would send a text message to confirm the cancelation. Since I didn't receive the message, and called back two days later to double check. Then they said they do not send cancellation confirmation, and the appointment was cancelled two days ago on their record. That was find so far. Then they added if I don't receive appointment reminder that means I do not have an appointment. I was to said that I would have an international trip around the original appointment date, ... (and therefore I couldn't receive any reminder on my phone. That's why I called again to confirm the appointment was cancelled). But before I finished talking, the staff lost her patient and just said "ok, bye, have a good trip." Not professional and lack of respect. I'll share some concerns about their treatment another time.”

“My wife and I have been coming to Town Center Dental for a few years now. Dr. Momin has proven to be a person that cares about his patients. He is a very skilled dentist and will provide great care for your dental needs. Beyond that he takes an interest in the person as well as the condition that brought them to his office. At my previous visit Dr. Momin found a condition that need attention. A treatment plan with the estimated costs and a follow-up appointment were made. At the follow up visit the actual cause was determined. This resulted in a less invasive procedure and a reduction in cost. Dr. Momin could have proceeded with the original plan and I would not have known. However, he determined that is was not needed and only provided the necessary treatment.”

“If you are looking for a new permanent dentist, do not take your business to Dr. Momin at Town Center Dental. I received multiple fillings by Dr. Momin and immediately afterward could tell they were done poorly, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. The other dentist was surprised at their poor quality and pointed out to me why: 1). The size of the fillings done by Dr. Momin are excessively large, deep, and dangerously close to the root - about 15-20% of my teeth were removed for what was a small cavity. 2). Dr. Momin failed to connect the filling to the central grooves of my teeth - essential for preventing decay underneath the filling, which would require a root canal. Either Dr. Momin is incompetent and cannot perform routine fillings, or he knowingly did a poor job, hoping they would lead to future decay and more profitable procedures for himself down the line. Whatever the case, neither is good for YOU, the person reading this review. Do not be fooled by the 4.9/5 star rating, if you dig a deeper you'll see most of them are fabricated. If you are a floater or new patient with no connection to Dr. Momin, please avoid this place at all costs.”
