- Rinse your retainers in warm water before placing them in their carrying case
- Avoid laying your clear aligners next to a heat source or in direct sunlight. Long periods of excess heat can cause them to deform. Even the smallest warping prevents your Invisalign® clear aligners from working correctly.
- Brush and floss daily. After eating and brushing your teeth, rinse off your aligners before placing them back in your mouth. You want to avoid getting bacteria trapped between the aligners and your teeth.
- Use denture cleaning tablets or Invisalign® cleaning crystals when soaking your aligners. Rinse them with fresh water afterward.
